Lemon Basil Salmon

This quick and easy meal features a refreshing blend of lemon, fresh basil, and butter, creating a light yet flavorful dish that's perfect for any night of the week.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 salmon fillets 6 ounce each
  • tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp fresh chopped basil
  • tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup Dry White Wine (optional)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ pepper
  • 1 lemon (wedges)

  • 1 rimmed baking pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375ºF (190ºC).
  2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and place the salmon fillets on top.
  3. Lightly coat the salmon with butter and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes.
  5. While the salmon is baking, stir together the melted butter (or olive oil), lemon juice, chopped basil, a pinch of salt, pepper and dry white wine.
  6. After 10 minutes of baking, remove the salmon and spoon the lemon basil mixture over the fillets. Top with thin slices of lemon.
  7. Return the salmon to the oven and broil on high for 5 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and slightly golden on top.

Notes

Looking for a dairy-free version? No problem—just substitute olive oil for the butter. It keeps the dish just as tasty while catering to different dietary needs.
