Method
- Cut the tomatoes into ¼ inch slices. Sprinkle some salt over the slices and let sit for a few minutes to drain the excess water.
- Cut the mozzarellas into ¼ inch slices.
- Assemble the Caprese salad by arranging alternating slices of tomato and mozzarella directly on serving plates. Drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve chilled.
